While traveling the US to document LGBT lives for a film project, lesbian Fae’s encounters with transgender people make her realizes she is actually a he. Gender Redesigner follows Fae as he transitions while living at home in conservative rural Pennsylvania. Raising funds for top surgery through drag shows, dealing with family members, and relocating to start a new life, Fae emerges as a loveable guide during his gender redesign.
