Jesse Harold
Ellis Feeling

Ellis Feeling is from a series-in-progress of related drawings called "A Singer Must Die." It consists of short chapters that tell the stories of unrelated people living in the same city. My training is in the fine arts, but my current education comes from Leonard Cohen, Anne Carson, Chris Ware, Craig's List, my roommates, throat singing, Anders Nilsen, Jorge Luis Borges, subway rats, David Attenborough, Antony and the Johnsons, Queens Plaza, peacocks, Wong Kar-Wai, Will Shortz, Splenda, my ex-girlfriends, the garbage piles in midtown, Ana Maria Matute, other people's moms, James Tate, epicurious.com, Laylah Ali, Al Green, Fort Greene, the celebrity salad bowl game, bad dreams, EMDR, secrets, blindnesses, and all the things I could have done.
