Katy Weselcouch
Modern Day Emma Goldman

This comic is about trying to find inspiration and maintain a sense of hope and idealism at a time when the world feels like pretty scary place. I made it while living on East Broadway street, in New York City's Lower East Side, an area with a rich history of organizing and protest. I had been reading a lot about this and was feeling at once frustrated and inspired by this—frustrated by the feeling that the same struggles are being fought now, still, and inspired by the fierceness of people who kept on fighting anyway.
